October 2, 2007
6:30 PM @ Smiley’s. This is our Fall Kick-Off meeting.
As discussed at the September meeting, we have an immediate opening for the office of Treasurer. Gina Taylor has opted to remain a PSOS member, but is no longer living in the Plover area. This is not a time-consuming position. Estimate is no more than one (1) hour per month.
For our club to continue to grow, we need someone to volunteer for this position. Ideally it would be beneficial to fill this opening with a member who previously has not held a club officer position. We need to retain all existing members and grow with the addition of new members. Our October 10th meeting will be our Fall Kick-Off Meeting. This meeting will start at 6:30 PM. Each member and any prospective new member will receive two (2) drink tickets ($5.00 value). In addition there will be snacks, and we will order some pizzas. Give some thought to inviting to our meeting snowmobiling friends that are not club members.
For snowmobiling to grow, everyone that snowmobiles should belong to a club. The trail system throughout the state just doesn’t happen!
Plover
Spuds on Snow Swap Meet
The membership decided to bring back this event after a one year absence. This will be held at Smiley’s Bar and Grill on Sunday October 21, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 PM. There is no Packer game. This is a lower cost event for people interested in selling snowmobile-related articles. Our intent is to cover costs and generate some interest in joining the Plover Spuds on Snow Snowmobile Club. It would be a plus to have some additional members sign up to help.
