Plover Trail to Smiley’s and the Elizabeth Inn

Subject: Re: Plover Trail

Dan

This trail will be discussed at our April 9th meeting.  I will give a call sometime after the meeting.

Just a couple of questions:

        1.  How many landowners are we dealing with?  Do you have contact names?

        2.  Who did you deal with at Del Monte?

        3.  We will need contact names and numbers for arranging grooming?

        4.  Did either Smiley's or the Elizabeth Inn provide any financial assistance in sharing of the of the associated grooming costs?

        5.  Was there ever any thought in running the trail from Corridor 15 from a point approximately one (1) mile south of highway B to Smiley's.

Something in the area parallel to Pleasant Dr.  This idea can be pursued with Larry and Doreen from Smiley's.  Costs most likely make

it cheaper to continue the current routing along highway R.

        6.  Are there any other details I would need to know I already understand about needing signage.

Plover Spuds On Snow,

I am writing to inform you that the Arnott Area Star Riders are abandoning the Plover Trail.  Do to added responsibility given to our club for next season, we will no longer be marking, grooming or maintaining the trail from the Highway R Rail Road Grade / Rail Road Tracks south to Elizabeth Inn.  We still claim ownership of trail from the Plover rail road crossing access east to the state corridor.

If the Plover Spuds On Snow Snowmobile club would like to pick up the responsibilities of this trail the Arnott Area Star Riders have voted to allow this.  If the Plover Spuds On Snow agrees to pick up this trail then they will need to purchase all needed signs and arange for grooming.  You will need to aquire annually landowner permission.

As of today's meeting and once we pick up all our signs that trail no longer exists.

Fell free to contact me with any questions or if you need clarification.

Thank you
