Next Regular Membership Meeting is Wednesday April 11, 2007  7:00 PM @ Smiley’s.  

Elections: 
Nominations were accepted at the last two membership meetings for officer position.  Leanne Lundquist, Gina Taylor, Rick Rossier, and Brian Fitzpatrick have accepted nomination for their respective positions of Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and President.  In addition John Herek has accepted his nomination for a three (3) year Director position.

Yellowstone:

PSOS Director Tom Bey comments on the article that appeared in the Steven Point Journal last week.  

“As a club, we should be aware of this stand.  Once the public comment period is opened for comments, I recommend all members of the Plover Spuds on Snow make a comment in support of increasing the number of snowmobiles allowed into the park.  Trish & I have had the opportunity to ride snowmobiles through Yellowstone Park.  What an opportunity!  If the opposing group wins their battle to decrease the number of sleds or even wins to eliminate ALL snowmobiles in the park, it will only be the beginning.   The next step would be spreading their efforts to the state level including our forests here in Wisconsin.  Many of our club members ride through the state forests up north.  We don't want to loose this opportunity.  Therefore we need to support the national level”. 

Central Wisconsin Snow Show and Plover Spuds on Snow Swap Meets: <> 
At the last meeting, a motion was made and approved to again coordinate the swap meet at the 2007 Central Wisconsin Snow Show.  It was also discussed that we should also bring back the Plover Spuds on Snow Swap Meet at Smiley’s.  In effect we would having two (2) swap meets. 

Camping Weekend:
The PSOS will be having our 2^nd Annual PSOS campout at Vista Royale campground in Bancroft the weekend of June 15, 16, and 17 (Father’s Day weekend).  We already have at least 5 reservations and would like to see more members join us.  Please check with Diane or Brian Fitzpatrick at 341-0601 or fitzpatrick1@charter.net if you need more information about the camping.  

Membership: 
The 2007-2008 season has officially started for club rosters.  There are no planned changed in our membership dues.  You don’t have to wait for the fall to join for the 2007-2008 season.

Dues:  $20 for single, $30 for family, and $50 for commercial membership.
