Pine Ridge of Wautoma Club Outing
The Spuds
had a great time at this outing. From
the Spuds, we had Dave & Julie, Leanne & Jeff, and Diane, our son
Shawn, & I. In addition several
members from the Kellner Knights joined us.
We had 14 sleds for our Saturday trip.
Starting from Wautoma, we made it to Neshkoro, Red Granite, Berlin, and
Wild Rose. We did a little over 100
miles with no problems. We dined both
nights at Pine Ridge, and were able to use the downstairs for socializing.
Holiday Acres Outing in Rhinelander
We will
firm up the details at the February meeting.
I would expect our Saturday ride to start around 9:00 – 9:30 as we have
several members driving in on Saturday.
Based on those who expressed interest on the sign-up sheet, I know that
Tom, Trish & Abby, Dave & Julie, and Diane & I will be there
Friday. Diane’s brother Dennis and his
wife Julie will join us for the weekend.
Jamie & Michelle and their son will join us on Saturday. Gina and
Pete are coming in Saturday morning.
Leanne & Jeff unfortunately had to cancel. Leanne’s daughter’s wedding is the next weekend. Time is at a premium with the wedding so
close. The Lewis family also had to
cancel because their 13-year-old son broke his leg, and Eric has been working
in Delaware. Eric’s return to Wisconsin
date was uncertain. We will miss both
Eric & Sally and Jeff & Leanne.
I am not sure if Eric & Cody, Glen & Sheryl, and Ed & Sheila
will be making the trip. Hopefully they
can. All other Spuds are certainly
welcome to join us for all or part of the weekend.

Elections
We will
still be accepting nominations for officers for the 2008-2009 season at the
February meeting. At the January
meeting the following members accepted the nomination:

Liazuk
Leanne and
Jeff are pending retirement and may not be in state next winter. Leanne had to decline the Secretary
nomination. Thanks for her years of
handling the Secretary duties and keeping me straight as to whether it was old
business or new business. We wish her
and Jeff well as they work toward retirement.
At this
time we do not have a nominee for the Secretary position.
Club Ride
(Local)
I made a decision to postpone the
club ride that was scheduled to follow the Wednesday February 13th
meeting. We have the club outing
February 15-17, and we have officer nominations. We can discuss the merits of planning a local ride either some
evening and/or weekend locally if the snow holds up.
