Plover Spuds on Snow

United We Trail – Divided We Fail

January 10, 2010

Presidents Update:

Well it finally winter is here and the trails are open. Lets get right down to business. At our last meeting we discussed a club ride for our Jan. meeting. I spoke with some board members and considering we have an up north ride planned for Feb 19 - 21 we thought it would be best to keep our Jan meeting and schedule a separate ride for another night of the week. The date will be decided at the Jan meeting. Bring your calendars.

Without the support of the financial institution that foreclosed on H2O, it appears the hope of having a trail to Smiley's this year is not obtainable. We will continue to work on this for the next snow season. Thank you for everyone's efforts so far.

We had our annual Christmas party last month. The white elephant gift event was a hoot.

For all you Face Book fans... Plover Spuds on Snow is now on Face Book. Just do a search "Plover Spuds on Snow" and click the button to join the group. Thanks Rick for a job well done.

SOS Club Trip Feb 19-21st

We have chosen a location for the 2010 Plover SOS club trip. Feb 19-21 we have rented a “log home” at Booth Lake in Minocqua. Once the total number of attendants is known, we will divide the cost of the lodging. Cheryl, Diane, Deb and Trish have coordinated meals, everyone is to bring your own drinks. This will be a blast! If you are interested in joining us for this event (even just for a day of sledding in the north woods) please call me 345-2852 or attend an upcoming meeting to find out more details. WE NEED TO KNOW BY 1/28/10 WHO IS PLANNING ON ATTENDING THIS TRIP.
