Snowmobile Safety Class

Any person who is at least 12 years old AND who is born on or after January 1985 is required to possess a valid Snowmobile Safety Certificate in order to operate a snowmobile on public trails, lands or frozen waters

The Portage County Sheriff’ Department is offering a snowmobile safety course.  The cost is $10.00 and is open to snowmobile operators 12 years and older. 

Classes will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Jan. 22, 24, and 26 at the Sheriff’s Department, 1500 Strongs Ave., Stevens Point. Weather permitting there will be an outdoor exercise Jan. 27 from 8:00 AM to noon.

Club Trip 

Our Club Trip is February 16-18, 2007.  We are staying at “The Birches” on Boot Lake in Springstead, WI.  Their website is www.birchesresort.com Rooms and cabins are going fast, so be sure to reserve right away.  There are other activities in the area, so rooms may be scarce.  You can check with Gina on other rooming possibilities.

Membership

We have several new members this year.  Come to our January meeting and meet our new members    We still have some members from last year that haven’t renewed their membership yet.   We would like to see a 100% renewal rate.
