Plover Spuds on Snow

United We Trail – Divided We Fail

January 26, 2010

Presidents Update:

Well it appears that winter "at least the snow" has left us as fast as it came. The club ride for Jan 23 was rained out. Doesn't that sound funny rained out in January. I made as many calls as I could to cancel the event and waited at Smiley's to make sure we didn't have any riders. Let's hope winter finds its way back to us soon.

Many of you may have noticed the trail closed sign on the trail leading to Smiley's. These were placed by the Arnott Club as they no longer maintain the trail. There is also an orange snow fence across the trail by Del Monte. As talked about in the previous news letter we still haven't gotten the permission we need to cross the H2O property. This lead to the trail closure. We will continue to work on a solution but for now our hands are tied.

SOS Club Trip Feb 19-21st Booth Lake Minocqua

We are very close to having all the plans finalized for the Feb 19-20 club ride. Trish, Diane, and Sheryl have volunteered with the meal making. It appears we will be having roast beef sandwiches on Friday compliments of Glen and Sheryl. Everyone is urged to bring there own refreshments, snacks, and towels. Saturday am will be omelets cooked by the Bey's, Saturday evening will be Lasagna one pan by Trish and one by Deb. There will also be garlic bread. Nothing like a log cabin a fire place and great friends to set the mood for a great time.

Don't forget all you Face Book fans... Plover Spuds on Snow is now on Face Book. Just do a search "Plover Spuds on Snow" and click the button to join the group. Thanks Rick for a job well done.
