Big Boy Kitty Cat Series

Big Boy Kitty Cat Series Summary From 1-26-07
Slo’s Place Big Arbor Vitae

Our second race of the 2008 season started a little behind time at Slo’s. Upon arrival we found that the track was a little smaller than normal and we could not make it larger because of track being plowed when the ice was slush. This created some very hard outside walls. All the racers did an excellent job of getting their gear changes made and there sleds tuned for the smaller track. Discover Wisconsin was on hand and did a little filming of our event while we were practicing. Our undisputed Big Girls champion had a very bad spill during practice. Charging Cheryl Rossier was out making a few hot laps and the throttle hung wide-open going into turn 3. Where charging Cheryl ended up was at the exit of turn 4 going end over end and taking out a plastic 55 gallon flasher. After getting the sled off her and catching her wind the champion hobbled back to the truck and collect her thoughts. But like the champion she is she came back to win the Big Girl’s feature.

We also had a couple of repeat winners in Men’s Open Mod (Jake the Snake Simkowski) and Cody the Kid Knutson in Men’s  Mod Stock.  We saw a very good last corner pass by Jordan (Wild Child) King to win the kids Mod Stock final.

Our sled count was down for this event in all-stock classes. The day was such a nice day for racing and we think allot of folks were just outside snowmobiling rather then attending the races. However Slo’s did a very good job in supporting our entire series and helped us out with a donation and a 50/50 raffle.

Our next event is on February 2nd at club 10 in Stevens Point. We are expecting another very nice 28-degree day for everyone to come out and enjoy. Don’t want these summaries to long and plus Rossier Racing has a ton of work to do on all of our sleds before next Saturday. Everyone, we hope to see you on Feb. 2nd.
