BIG BOY SERIES RULES AND REGULATIONS

GENERAL
RULES:
1. It is
understood that racing will have some bumps, bangs and spins. Hard
racing is
understood. Fun and Safety is the Goal though!
2. Intentional rough driving will
be the call of the Inspector or
Series Directors. Disqualification and/or loss of points may
occur.
3.
Racers and teams must conduct
themselves
on a professional level.
4.
The goal is to build a
successful series
involving family and friends, with the end result of being in a
position to
donate to a charitable organization.
5. One (1) lap qualifying will happen at each event for open class and mod stock class only. Races will be lined up per qualifying. All other classes will be aligned by points with point leader starting in the back.
6.
There
will be a $30.00 entry fee per sled per year, or $10.00 per event, per
sled.
7. The series directors of The Big Boy Series will decide on any unwritten rules or disputes.
8. All points tie breakers in all classes will be decided first by qualifying points, then secondly by feature wins.
9. Drivers must be 15 years of age to race in men's class; kids Mod - stock classes can be from age 7 to 14. Kids stock classes no minimum age limit, up to parents to judge ability, max age is 14 years old. 15 and older will race in the men's classes.
SAFETY
RULES:
1. All drivers must wear helmets at all times while on the track.
2.
All drivers to wear
appropriate gear
(boots, gloves, etc).
3.
All sleds must have workable
brakes.
4.
All sleds to have a break away
switch
(tether).
5.
All sleds must have chain
guards.
6.
All sleds must have skis with
protected
hoops.
PURE
STOCK CLASS:
1.
This class is just pure
stock.
Everything original from manufacturer.
2.
Can have carbide runners.
3.
Can have studs.
4. Governor can be disconnected.
5.
Gearing can be changed.
MOD
STOCK CLASS:
1.
All rules are based around
Kitty Kat
components and new design.
2.
Stock rubber tracks (can be
studded) no
cleated tracks.
3.
Stock rear Bogie wheel
suspension
components.
4.
Skis can be stock, plastic, or
aluminum.
5.
Carbide runners can be used.
6.
Ski spreaders or widened front
end is
acceptable up to 7 wider than stock.
7.
Stock appearing muffler.
8.
Carburetor can be of any
design/manufacturer.
9.
Engine must be from
manufacturer of
Suzuki or Kawasaki. Stock components must be used.
10. Hoods can be of stock design or updated to
new designs
made for kitty kats.
11. Clutch must be of centrifugal design (no
variable
speed drives).
12. Governors must be removed in order to
compete.
13. Appearance modifications are acceptable
(no sharp
edges).
OPEN
DIVISION:
1.
Engines must be of kitty cat
design and
components (Suzuki or Kawasaki).
2.
Tracks, skis, and chassis can
be
modified as well as motors, and suspension components.
3.
Exhaust system can be
expansion
chamber. Carburetor can be of any design/manufacturer.
4.
No variable speed
drives.
Centrifugal clutch must be used.

CC Pure Stock DIVISION:
1. This class is
just pure
stock. Everything original from manufacturer.
2. Can have
carbide runners.
3. Can have
studs.
4. Governor can
be
disconnected
5. Stock suspension adjustments only. No chaining to squat suspension allowed.
6. Gearing
can be
changed.

Mod Stock Division
Qualifying:
1
point for both divisions fast qualifier (mod stock or open)
Heat Events:
Mod stock class and open division will
have points for heats.
